Where I’ve Been

SO MANY UPDATES! I know, I know. I’ve been gone for months. I’m the worst… But thank you all SO much for all of the kind emails and Instagram messages making sure I was okay. From the bottom of my heart, I really do appreciate it. Truth is, a lot has changed in my life, both good and bad. The biggest change has actually been taking a new role in my company. I moved from a communication role to a technologist role, and LET ME TELL YOU I was/am struggling. It’s a complete 180 from where I was, so I’m trying my hardest to learn as quickly as possible and do an okay job. Send prayers/good vibes/positive thoughts my way, please. I will need it.

Where I am Now

Now that the first few weeks of my new role are finished, I’m in a much better place (albeit in much more debt, bust c’est la vie, amirite?). I have a BUNCH of blog posts lined up for you guys and I’m working on revamping my theme. I’m also heavily enjoying fall and I’m thisclose to having a pumpkin spice latte IV.

Where I’m Going

In a literal sense, I am going to POLAND next week, and I cannot be more excited! My great-grand parents are from Poland and I am beyond thrilled to be able to experience my heritage first hand. I’m spending most of my trip in Warsaw, but I will have a day in Krakow. If anyone has been to either city, please send any and all suggestions that you have!

Regarding the blog, I’ll be going to a twice a week posting schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting next week. As always, please leave me any comments, and I’ll respond as soon as I can! Finally, thank you all for sticking with me; I can’t express my gratitude enough.

xx Alaina

Alaina

I’m a twenty something living in the heart of Detroit. I have an absurd fear of wasting my life away, so come with me as I travel the world and my own backyard.
