Hello everyone! I thought I would try something a little different as I’m getting my Paris posts around. Have a gander and let me know your March faves in the comments!
The Great British Bake Off – I know I’m about 70 years late to the party, but after being stuck in bed for the past five days due to some pesky wisdom teeth, I’m officially obsessed. Mary Berry is my new spirit animal. I’ve watched every episode on Netflix and now that it’s over, there is a hole in my heart that only baked goods can properly fill (which leads me to my next obsession)…
Baking for Two: The Small-Batch Baking Cookbook for Sweet and Savory Treats – Oh my land, this is SUCH a wonderful cookbook! I have an absurd sweet tooth and literally no self-control, so I don’t allow myself to bake too often, as I will eat everything at once. This book has completely changed that! I just made the chocolate fudge brownies, and they are scrumptious. Okay, maybe I still ate them all at once, but three brownies are better than 18. In other news, I spent about $100 on Amazon on mini baking pans, but that’s beside the point.
Trader Joe’s Multigrain Triple Berry Instant Hot Cereal – As much as I wish I was a morning person, I can’t help but to press snooze at least 10 times every morning (my dears, I wish I was exaggerating). I’ve had to adjust my morning routine to be as efficient as possible to allow for as much snooze-age as possible. Luckily, my work commute is about 5 minutes, so all I need to do is pick out my clothes the night before, make sure my lunch is packed, and grab one of these chia and flax filled packets before running, literally running, out of my door. These are naturally sweet, but I do put about a half packet of Stevia in before putting the hot water. So good. Reasonably health. Allows me an extra 5 precious minutes in bed.
Bounce Back, Big Sean – Let me know if you feel the same, but I feel like my happiness at work is cyclical. Sometimes things are going so well that I’m happy as a clam, and sometimes I feel like I’m drowning. On particularly rough days, I pop this song on repeat and just grind out what I need to do. Y’all can’t tell me this doesn’t make you want to get through your to do list ASAP.
East Lansing – I just traded in my car lease, and there is something about when you get a new car that makes you want to drive all over Earth’s creation. I took a quick drive to Lansing, Michigan’s capital to eat some great BBQ and drive about Michigan State. Easy drive. Amazing food. Good Saturday.
Yeowww Tin of Stinkies, 3 in a Sardine Tin – Stay with me now. I have two cats who are a bit stuck up when it comes to cat toys. Now these toys are a little on the pricy side, but they have been so worth it. They are exceptionally well made with prime cat nip and the toy itself is made with heavy duty fabric and the text is actually embroidered. My cats literally go insane! If you have a finicky feline, I would definitely try these out.
